As a Brazilian-American journalist, I am respectfully requesting clarification regarding the case of Filipe Martins, former National Security Advisor to President Jair Bolsonaro.

- Mr. Martins was imprisoned for more than six months and remains under house arrest - all based on a fraudulent U.S. immigration record.

- The alleged trip was on December 30, 2022, yet the I-94 record used to justify his imprisonment only appeared in the U.S. immigration system in April 2024 - six months later, while he was already in custody. The document contained a canceled passport number, an incorrect visa classification, and a misspelled name.

- Evidence suggests that U.S. Department of Homeland Security systems were tampered with to fabricate this record during the tenure of Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, under the Biden administration.

- On October 10, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officially confirmed that Mr. Martins never entered the United States. This is not an effort to correct what happened, but rather a clear attempt to conceal it.

- The public deserves full transparency and accountability. Who inserted a fraudulent record into DHS systems - and for what purpose?
